Yang Ch'eng Pao 17.1.14.

Sunning Railway.An Expedition sent against robbers captured 19

and released all prisoners.

Hua Yen Pao 7.1.14.

Ch'ien Soan. Chin Yung. The Police were attacked, bound and their

arus teken by 100 brigands who then robbed the village.

Yang Ch'ong Pao 0.1.14.

Hsi Ch'iaq.A boat carrying a cargo of pigs was pirated. The pigs

and valuable were taken and the buat released.

Toung Shang Hui Feo 8.1.14.

K'ai P'ing.On 1.1.14 a band of 60 or 70 brigands took $1,000 and 6 head of cattle from 2 villages in the district.

Toung Shang Hui Pao u.1.14.

Suming.20 passengers were carried off from a ferry-boat by

piretes disguised as passengers.

Yang Cheng Pao 9.1.1,4.

Hain Hui. Contains several hundred brigands who demand a toll for

eech mou of land.

Hua Yen Pao 13.1.14.

an Yu Hsien. Chiao T'ang jisiang. For the post 6 months a body

of brigands have been abducting people and holding

them to ransom. The chief has been arrested.

Hua Yen Pao 20.1.14.

Namboi. Huơng Chu Ch'i. On 27.1.14 about 100 brigands robbed the

whole village, killed 1 man, wounded a women and carried off 10 persons. Losses not estimated.

Hue Yen Pao 31.1.14.

Yueh-tian Railway. Hsin Chieh and Kuo T'ang-Former railway station

robbed
